Best for call centres dialing big lead lists

Readymode is a predictive dialer for outbound call floors, with its own CRM, scripts, compliance tools and caller ID checks so your numbers don't get flagged as spam. It's built for teams dialing all day. But it starts at $199 a license a month, there's no trial, and it can't send a text.

Who Readymode is for

  • Great if your team dials big lead lists all day and needs predictive dialing
  • Handy when your numbers keep getting flagged as spam and you need them watched
  • Good for insurance, solar and home improvement call centres in the US or Canada

Who Readymode is not for

  • Pricey if you're a small team, at $199 a license a month with no trial first
  • Skip it if you need to text leads too, since that needs another service
  • Not for you if you're outside the US or Canada, as only businesses there can sign up

Why Readymode gets a 1.4

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • DValue for moneyGraded against its own alternatives, as it's a call-centre dialer: $199 a license a month ($239 billed monthly), about four times the power-dialer plans of JustCall ($49) or Aircall ($50). Predictive dialing and free outbound minutes are what the extra buys.
  • FFree plan and trialNothing free: no free plan and no trial, just a demo. Sign-up also waits on a compliance review, and annual plans are prepaid and non-refundable.
  • CFeaturesIt does the outbound job fully: four dialing modes up to 20 or more lines per agent, a built-in CRM, scripts, live monitoring and DNC tools. But the listing names gaps: no texting of its own, and calls only reach the US and Canada.
  • CEase of useNo App Store rating on record. Only registered US or Canadian businesses get in, after a compliance review, and then there are lead lists, scripts and campaigns to set up.
  • CPlatforms and integrationsWeb only, with no phone or desktop app. Salesforce, HighLevel, Pipedrive and Zapier connect, but only on iQ, which needs at least 5 licenses. Starter has no integrations at all.

Keep Readymode, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace Readymode you would be making phone numbers and calls carried over the phone network. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 21 of the 21 other business phone systems grade higher. It costs $2,388 a year.

What you could make

  • Reports: an app builder makes this well.

What you could not

  • Phone numbers and calls carried over the phone network.
  • It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
  • It plugs into other products, Salesforce, HighLevel and Pipedrive among them.

What this rests on. Readymode’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.

What is Readymode?

Readymode, formerly Xencall, is a browser-based outbound calling platform for sales, lead generation and call center teams. Each license includes four dialing modes, from preview to predictive, a built-in CRM with scripts and lead lists, reports and calling compliance tools. The iQ plan adds caller ID reputation monitoring and number rotation to keep numbers from being flagged as spam.

Readymode is a paid product, starting at $199 per license / month, billing basis not stated ($239 billed monthly). See every plan

Good for

  • Outbound sales and lead generation teams that dial large lists
  • Call centers and BPO agencies in insurance, solar, real estate and home improvement
  • Teams worried about their numbers being labeled as spam

Worth knowing

  • Only registered businesses in the US or Canada can sign up, after a compliance review, and calls reach only the US and Canada.
  • Starter is limited to 1 to 4 licenses without integrations, and iQ needs at least 5 licenses; the pricing page does not say whether its prices are monthly or annual.
  • Outbound minutes are free under a fair use policy, inbound minutes cost $0.02 each, and voicemail drop costs extra for those who qualify.
  • It is voice-first: there is no texting of its own, so SMS needs a service such as Volt or ClickSend. Annual plans are prepaid and non-refundable.
