Capacities

• There are no team or organization plans, and sharing is limited to view-only access to notes.
• Task management, the AI assistant, calendar integrations, smart queries, version history and API access all need Pro.
• The free plan caps media uploads at 5 GB in total, then 100 MB per month.
• Capacities is not end-to-end encrypted, as its own documentation states.

Fabric

• The pricing page lists only paid plans; a free plan is mentioned elsewhere on the site, but its limits are not published.
• AI usage is metered and resets monthly, and going past a plan's allowance means buying top-ups.
• The vendor does not offer refunds, although a plan can be cancelled at any time.
• Desktop file sync works on macOS and Windows only, and the mobile app has no kanban or list view.

Object types

Every note is a typed object, such as a person, book or project, with its own properties and templates. Objects can be shown as lists, galleries, tables or cards.

Daily notes

One note per day works as an inbox for quick thoughts. Content can also be sent in from WhatsApp, Telegram or by email.

Links, backlinks and graph view

Links between objects work in both directions. A backlinks panel lists every reference to an object, and a graph view draws the whole network.

AI assistant (Pro)

AI chat, property auto-fill and analysis of web links and images, limited by a monthly budget. The Plus add-on raises that budget.

Smart queries, tasks and calendar (Pro)

Pro adds saved queries, task management with actions for apps such as Todoist and Things, and calendar integration for Google, Microsoft, Apple and CalDAV.

Offline mode and web extension

Offline mode lets you open, create and edit content without a connection. A browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox saves pages to a space.

Notes, files and links in one library

Stores notes, documents, PDFs, images, video, audio and saved links together, organized into spaces and folders or simply left for search to find.

Search by meaning, color or image

Finds items by description instead of file name, searches inside documents and audio or video transcripts, and matches images by color or by a reference image.

AI assistant and agents

The assistant answers from your own content with citations, and named agents run scheduled jobs: up to 10 on Pro and up to 50 on Max.

Meeting and voice notes

Records meetings and voice notes, transcribes them and keeps the key points. The desktop app detects when a meeting starts and offers to transcribe it.

Canvas, tasks and kanban

An infinite canvas lays out any saved content side by side, and tasks carry priorities, due dates and reminders, with a kanban view for tracking progress.

Cloud drive and publishing

The desktop app mounts Fabric as a drive and streams files on demand, and any space can be published as a link that needs no login to view.
