Worth knowing

Confluence

  • The Free plan stops at 10 users and 2 GB of storage and has no space or page permission settings.
  • The pricing page's default prices ($5.42 Standard, $10.44 Premium) are per-user averages for a 300-user team; the first 100 users cost $6.70 or $13.20 each.
  • Enforced SSO and SCIM need a separate Atlassian Guard Standard subscription on every plan except Enterprise, which is sold on annual contracts only.
  • The self-managed Data Center edition reaches end of life on March 28, 2029, when its subscriptions expire and it becomes read-only.

Slite

  • There is no free plan: after the 14-day trial, a paid subscription is needed to keep using the workspace.
  • The pricing page shows yearly-billed prices only; a monthly plan exists, but its price is not published there.
  • The Slite Agent, search across connected tools, OpenID SSO and custom domains for public docs need Pro at $20 per user / month.
  • Basic limits each member to 30 AI questions and 30 AI edits a month, 5 GB of storage and 200 MB file uploads.

Key features

Confluence

Pages and spaces
Pages hold project plans, meeting notes and policies, and are grouped into spaces with a page tree. Several people can edit at once, with inline and page comments and version history.
Whiteboards
Freeform canvases for brainstorming and diagrams, with built-in links to Jira. Free allows 3 active whiteboards per user, Standard 10, and Premium and Enterprise have no limit.
Databases
Structured collections that gather information from Jira and other apps and can be laid out as tables, cards or boards.
Rovo AI
Rovo Search, Chat and Agents come with paid plans and are metered in monthly credits: 25 per user on Standard, 70 on Premium and 150 on Enterprise.
Automation
Rule-based automation with templates and a low-code builder. Monthly allowances run from 50 steps per subscription on Free to 500 steps per user on Enterprise.
Permissions and external sharing
Paid plans add space and page permissions, view-only public links, anonymous access and up to 5 free guests per paid user, each limited to a single space.

Slite

Collaborative editor
A real-time editor with comments, mentions, custom templates, recurring scheduled docs and doc history. Docs can be exported as PDF, Markdown or HTML.
Doc verification and ownership
Each doc can have an owner and a verification status, and the Knowledge Management Panel lets admins review and act on many docs at once.
Ask: AI search and answers
Answers questions with cited sources. Basic searches Slite docs with 30 questions per member a month; Pro and Enterprise search connected tools with 100 per member.
Slite Agent
On Pro and Enterprise, an agent watches connected tools, drafts updates to out-of-date docs and routes them to a person for approval. It draws on pooled credits, 50 per seat a month.
MCP and public API
Every plan includes a public API and an MCP server, so assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor can search, read and edit docs under the user's permissions.
Public docs
Docs can be shared publicly on every plan, with AI answers for readers. Search-engine indexing, custom branding and a custom domain for public docs start on Pro.
