Value for money
BPersonal is $4.98 a month billed annually, about half the $9 that's typical here, with unlimited credits and the phone apps. But it's for @gmail.com addresses only. A Google Workspace account needs Pro at $14.98, or $19.98 paid monthly. Cheap for one crowd, dear for the other.
BPaid Starter is $4 a user a month billed yearly, but its feature list is the same as the free plan's. The useful stuff is Professional at $7, with templates, mail merge and assignments, and Smart at $11 with the AI. That's around the $9 that's typical here. Business jumps to $24.
Free plan and trial
BBasic is free for good, with Send Later, reminders, response tracking, read receipts and Inbox Pause. But 10 message credits a month is tight, and the phone apps aren't included. New accounts do get 30 days of Boomerang Professional with no card.
BStarter is free for good, with first-open and first-click tracking, real-time notifications and signatures. But sent emails carry a visible Mailbutler watermark, and that's all you get. The 14-day trial of every feature needs no credit card.
Features
AIt's a focused tool and it does its one job fully: Send Later, messages that come back when you choose, follow-up nudges, read receipts and click tracking, Inbox Pause, and booking a meeting from inside an email. Recurring messages need Pro.
AOpen and link tracking, templates with placeholders, mail merge from your contacts or a CSV file, scheduled sending, notes and tasks on emails, and assigning mail in a shared inbox you already have. Automations tag things for you. For an add-on that's the full set. The AI Smart Assistant needs Smart.
Ease of use
BNo rating on record, so a B is our ceiling. It's a browser extension that sits inside Gmail, and you can type a time like "next Monday" instead of poking at a date picker.
BNo rating on record, so a B is our ceiling. It adds itself to the mail app you already use, so there's no new inbox to learn. The iOS and Android apps are companions that need a desktop install.
Platforms and integrations
AA browser extension plus iPhone and Android apps on paid plans, and it connects to Zoom, Google Meet, Salesforce and GQueues. It's Gmail and Google Workspace only, mind. Boomerang for Outlook is a separate product with its own subscription.
