Value for money
CPlus is $96 a year, which is $8 a month, the dearer half of this category, and $10 if you pay month to month. Family is where it turns cheap: $180 a year covers up to 6 Plus accounts, and Team is $600 for up to 10.
DPlus is $12.42 a user a month billed yearly, $19 monthly, past where the dearest tenth of note apps starts. That buys unlimited spaces and uploads, recurring tasks and your full planner history. Unlimited shared spaces need Pro at $24.92.
Free plan and trial
CFree for as long as you like, with 1 GB of storage, but the wall is real: 1,500 blocks, and every paragraph, heading and picture is one. Students and teachers skip all that, as a school email gets the paid features free.
BFree has unlimited pages and projects, 3 personal spaces, Google and Outlook calendars and 1,000 AI credits, which one person could live on. The caps: 5 MB per upload, 2 weeks of planner history and 1 shared space.
Features
BDocs built from blocks, tasks, daily notes, a calendar, whiteboards and Collections, which are little databases. Any doc publishes as a web page, and the API and MCP server come with every plan, the free one included. Offline is the gap: no new documents, no search and no AI without a connection.
BTiles of notes, tasks, images and files on pages, grouped into projects, plus a daily planner, a web clipper with AI summaries, real-time editing, comments, published pages, forms and a timeline. Nothing in the listing shows a gap in the notes job; some AI integration features are still to come.
Ease of use
A4.83 from about 6,600 App Store ratings, nine in ten of them five stars. Reviewers keep comparing it to Notion and saying there's far less to learn. You open a doc and start writing.
CNo rating on record, and a blank page of tiles leaves the layout to you, which is why the template gallery is there. Spaces, projects and pages are three levels to get your head round.
Platforms and integrations
AMac, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Android, web and a browser clipper, with a REST API and an MCP server on every plan. The holes are a missing Linux app, and calendar events, Reminders and Shortcuts working on Apple devices only.
BWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android and a web clipper, so every device but Linux. What it talks to is short, though: Google Calendar, Outlook, ChatGPT and Claude, with no API on record.
