Value for money
DPlus is $10 a person a month on yearly billing, and the dearest tenth of this category starts at $9.99, so Notion sits in it. Then the AI agent and meeting notes need Business at $20, which is over three times the $6 middle. Fair if it replaces three tools. Dear if it doesn't.
DPlus is $12.42 a user a month billed yearly, $19 monthly, past where the dearest tenth of note apps starts. That buys unlimited spaces and uploads, recurring tasks and your full planner history. Unlimited shared spaces need Pro at $24.92.
Free plan and trial
BIf it's only you, it's unlimited pages and blocks for nothing, plus 10 guests, and a lot of people never leave. Not an A though: file uploads stop at 5 MB, which any phone photo clears, page history is 7 days and you get 1 chart.
BFree has unlimited pages and projects, 3 personal spaces, Google and Outlook calendars and 1,000 AI credits, which one person could live on. The caps: 5 MB per upload, 2 weeks of planner history and 1 shared space.
Features
ADocs, wikis and databases you can flip between a table, board, calendar or timeline, forms that fill a database, pages published as a website, automations, a separate calendar app and an AI agent with shareable skills from September 2026. No other notes app here carries that many jobs in the one product.
BTiles of notes, tasks, images and files on pages, grouped into projects, plus a daily planner, a web clipper with AI summaries, real-time editing, comments, published pages, forms and a timeline. Nothing in the listing shows a gap in the notes job; some AI integration features are still to come.
Ease of use
A4.78 from about 90,000 App Store ratings, which is the top band and a lot of people saying the same thing. The caveat is real, mind: you start on an empty workspace and decide the structure yourself, and "it took me ages to figure out" is the complaint we saw most.
CNo rating on record, and a blank page of tiles leaves the layout to you, which is why the template gallery is there. Spaces, projects and pages are three levels to get your head round.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android, a web clipper and a public API, and it talks to Slack, Google Drive, GitHub, Figma, Jira and Linear. The one hole is Linux, which gets the browser and no desktop app.
BWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android and a web clipper, so every device but Linux. What it talks to is short, though: Google Calendar, Outlook, ChatGPT and Claude, with no API on record.
