Key features
ScreenRec
- Screen, webcam and audio recording
- Records the whole screen or a selected area together with the microphone, computer audio and a webcam overlay. Signed-in users have no length limit and no watermark.
- Annotated screenshots
- Captures a region of the screen and adds shapes, arrows and comments, then copies the image to the clipboard or saves it to the cloud account.
- Instant share links
- Recordings upload while they are being made, so a private link is ready when recording stops. Automatic uploads are capped at 10 a month on Free and 50 on Pro.
- Offline recording and MP4 export
- Without a connection a capture is saved as a local file and uploaded once the computer is back online. Recordings can also be exported as MP4.
- Access control and viewer analytics
- A viewer can be asked for a password or access can be limited to named users, and analytics show who watched a video and for how long.
- Voice dictation and AI credits
- Dictation turns speech into text, with 5, 180 or 1,200 minutes a month by plan. Monthly AI credits pay for transcripts, captions and generated titles and summaries.
ScreenToGif
- Screen recorder
- A hollow window is placed over the area to capture and can snap to another window. The frame rate is set from 1 to 60 fps, and the frame can be moved while recording.
- Webcam recorder
- Captures the video feed from a webcam chosen from the connected video devices; resizing the window changes the size of the recording.
- Board recorder
- A canvas for drawing with a pen whose color and tip size can be changed. Strokes are recorded automatically as they are drawn.
- Frame-based editor
- Shows every frame of a recording so unwanted ones can be removed, and adds annotations such as captions and free drawing. It can also import GIFs and videos.
- Export to GIF, APNG, video, PSD or PNG
- A finished project is saved as an animated GIF or APNG, a video, a PSD file or PNG images, and single frames can be exported as images.
