| Value for money | BPro is $10 a month billed yearly, or $14 month to month. That's around the middle for a planner. It buys an 8-week scheduling range, priorities, task dependencies, unlimited lists and the API. | CA team seat is $19 a month billed annually, and one person alone pays $29, or $49 month to month. A typical planner is about $7.99. You do get projects, docs and a notetaker for that, but AI use is metered at 7,500 credits a seat each month, and Gantt charts and time tracking need Business AI. |
| Free plan and trial | BBasic is free forever with unlimited auto-reschedules, and calendar sync is in. But it plans only 2 weeks out, with 1 set of scheduling hours, 3 repeating auto-scheduled tasks and 5 lists. | DNo free plan. There's a 7-day trial, per Motion's App Store listing, but a card is required and it's charged when the trial ends unless you cancel. Motion's terms also say purchases are non-refundable, so set a reminder. |
| Features | AIt places tasks in free time from their due dates and lengths, splits them around events, and rebuilds the plan when something moves. Two-way sync with Google, Outlook.com and iCloud, plus Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do and Apple Reminders. | AA scheduling engine that places tasks by duration, priority and deadline and rebuilds the plan as the day changes, projects and workspaces, sync with Google, Outlook and iCloud calendars, booking links, a notetaker that drafts action items, and AI chat and docs. That's the whole job and then some. |
| Ease of use | A4.8 from about 430 App Store ratings. You don't drag blocks around: it fills the calendar itself, and a Recalculate button puts missed tasks back. | C4.1 from about 1,900 App Store ratings, which is a C on our ladder, with about one rating in six a single star. The scheduling is automatic, but there's a lot of product around it now: projects, docs, credits and two tiers of plan. |
| Platforms and integrations | AWeb, iPhone and Android, with calendar and task-app sync, and an API, MCP server and Zapier on Pro. There's no native desktop app, so on a computer it lives in the browser. | AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android. It connects to Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud Calendar, Gmail, Zoom, Google Meet, Slack and Zapier. The iCloud connection has a more limited feature set. There's an API, with engineering support for it on Enterprise. |
| Best for | letting the calendar time-block for you | letting AI fit your tasks into your calendar |

Key features
FlowSavvy
- Auto-scheduling
- Places tasks into open time on the calendar based on due dates and durations, and can split a task around events. Basic plans 2 weeks ahead and Pro 8 weeks.
- Automatic rescheduling
- The schedule is rebuilt whenever an event or task changes, and a Recalculate button puts missed tasks back on the calendar. Reschedules are unlimited on both plans.
- Scheduling hours
- Sets of hours such as work or personal define when tasks may be scheduled. Basic includes one set; Pro allows unlimited profiles.
- Calendar sync
- Two-way sync with Google Calendar, Outlook.com and iCloud on both plans. Writing FlowSavvy tasks back to those calendars is a Pro feature.
- Priorities and dependencies
- Pro adds priority levels and dependency chains for tasks that must follow an order. On the free plan, tasks are prioritized by due date.
- Task app sync, API and MCP
- Syncs tasks with Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do and Apple Reminders. A public API, an MCP server for ChatGPT and Claude, and Zapier are Pro-only.
Motion
- Automatic scheduling
- A scheduling engine places tasks into openings on your calendar based on duration, priority and deadlines, and rebuilds the plan as the day changes.
- Tasks and projects
- Tasks sit inside projects and workspaces, and AI can draft a project and its tasks from a description. Timelines and Gantt charts need Business AI.
- Calendar sync
- Connects Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook (Office 365 and Exchange Online) and iCloud Calendar. The iCloud connection has a more limited feature set.
- Booking links
- A shareable link lets other people book meetings based on your real-time availability. You set rules for availability, duration, buffers and limits.
- AI Notetaker
- Captures transcripts from video calls and drafts summaries and action items, which you approve before they become tasks.
- AI Chat and Docs
- A chat interface creates items and searches workspace data, and collaborative docs include AI drafting. AI use draws on the plan's monthly credits.
