Worth knowing
Meetily
- Desktop only: Windows 10 or later and Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 11 or later. Intel Macs are not supported, and on Linux it must be built from source.
- Speaker identification, custom templates, PDF and DOCX export, Windows GPU acceleration and the MCP server, CLI and webhooks all need Pro.
- Each Pro license covers one device for one year, and the pricing page lists Pro with yearly billing only.
- There are no built-in connectors for apps such as Notion or Jira, and chat with your meetings and calendar integration are marked as coming soon.
Quill Meetings
- Without Pro, Quill does not auto-generate AI notes, and encrypted sync and backup and the mobile app are unavailable.
- Lite includes 16 hours of pro meetings a month. Unlimited hours need the Unlimited or Teams plan, and Teams has a 5-seat minimum.
- The iPhone and Android apps are companions that need a paid plan and the desktop app. There is no iPad app and no recording from a browser.
- The Mac app needs Apple Silicon and macOS 12 or later, and cloud sync covers transcripts and notes but not audio recordings.
Key features
Meetily
- Bot-free recording
- Captures system audio on the computer instead of sending a bot into the call, so it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Slack Huddles and Webex.
- On-device transcription
- Whisper and Parakeet models transcribe in real time on your machine, and audio is not uploaded. Pro adds GPU acceleration on Windows with an NVIDIA card.
- Summaries from the AI you choose
- Summaries run on a local Ollama model or on your own key for Claude, OpenAI, Groq, OpenRouter or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. With your own key, only transcript text is sent.
- Speaker identification
- A Pro feature that labels who said what, live and on imported audio. Renaming a speaker once updates the whole transcript, and duplicate speakers can be merged.
- Templates and exports
- Pro includes 6 built-in summary templates plus your own, and exports transcripts and summaries to PDF, DOCX and Markdown. Community uses the default template.
- MCP server, CLI and webhooks
- Pro ships an MCP server, a command-line tool, a local API and signed webhooks, so assistants such as Claude or Cursor and your own scripts can search and export meetings. Off by default.
Quill Meetings
- Bot-free local recording
- Captures your microphone and the computer's audio, so it works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack huddles, Webex, FaceTime and in-person meetings. It records audio only, not video.
- On-device transcription
- Transcribes 29 languages with auto-detection on your computer and identifies speakers, learning who is who across meetings. Recording and transcription work without internet.
- Live Minutes and AI notes
- Pro builds minutes while the meeting is under way, then lists decisions, action items, owners and follow-up drafts. Templates can be set per meeting type.
- Your choice of LLM
- Notes can run on Anthropic, OpenAI or Google models, AWS Bedrock, OpenRouter, or local models through Ollama or LM Studio. Pro also includes a quota on Quill's hosted model.
- AI chat and MCP server
- Ask questions across past conversations in the app, or connect Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients to a server that runs locally.
- Automations and integrations
- After a meeting Quill can create notes, draft an email or send notes to Slack, Notion, a CRM or a folder. To-dos sent to Todoist become separate tasks.
