Scribbl
Bot-free AI notetaker for Google Meet, Zoom and Teams

Best for bot-free notes on Google Meet, Zoom and Teams
Scribbl takes meeting notes without sending a bot into the call. A Chrome extension handles Google Meet, a desktop app handles Zoom and Teams, and everything lands in one library with notes, action items, a transcript and the video. The free plan covers 10 meetings a month and Pro is $13 a month on the yearly plan. There's no phone app though, and the Mac app won't run on Intel Macs.
Who Scribbl is for
- Great if you don't want a bot sitting in the list of people on the call
- Handy when you live in Google Meet but still get the odd Zoom or Teams invite
- Good for people who record ten or fewer meetings a month and want to stay free
Who Scribbl is not for
- Skip it if you want to record a chat in a room on your phone, as no mobile app is listed
- Not for you if you're on an Intel Mac and need Zoom or Teams, because the desktop app needs Apple Silicon
- Pricey if there are only two of you on Team, at $50 a person a month against $20 for 3 or more
Why Scribbl gets a 3.2
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- BValue for moneyPro is $13 a user a month billed annually ($156), or $20 monthly. A little above where notetakers usually start, but it's unlimited meetings and AI chat, plus the integrations and the Claude and ChatGPT connector. Team is $20 a person for 3 or more. Just 1 or 2 of you? That's $50 each.
- BFree plan and trialFree forever with no card: 10 meetings a month of any length, each with notes, action items, a transcript and the video. That's fine for a couple of calls a week. You get 1 AI chat question per meeting and 3 Automations runs a month, and no integrations.
- AFeaturesNotes, decisions, open questions and action items, with a speaker-labeled transcript linked to the video. Your own note templates, one search across Meet, Zoom and Teams, and calls grouped by client. Paid plans let Claude or ChatGPT search and read your meetings.
- BEase of useNothing joins the call and you don't need to be the host. The desktop app starts by itself when a Zoom or Teams window opens. One snag: the Windows installer isn't code-signed yet. No App Store rating on record, so a B.
- BPlatforms and integrationsA Chrome extension, a web library and desktop apps for Mac and Windows, with HubSpot, Slack and Google Drive hook-ups from Pro. But no iPhone or Android app is listed, and the Mac app needs Apple Silicon.

Scribbl records meetings without a bot: a Chrome extension captures Google Meet from the browser tab, and a desktop app for Mac and Windows captures Zoom and Microsoft Teams from the computer. Each call produces notes, action items, a speaker-labeled transcript and video in one searchable library. Paid plans can connect that library to Claude or ChatGPT so the assistant can search and read past meetings.

Good for
- People who do not want a bot listed among the call participants
- Google Meet users who also get Zoom and Teams invites
- Individuals with ten or fewer recorded meetings a month
Worth knowing
- The Free plan covers 10 meetings a month, 1 AI chat question per meeting and 3 Automations runs a month; the integrations start with Pro.
- The Mac desktop app needs Apple Silicon, so Zoom and Teams recording is not available on Intel Macs. The Windows installer is not yet code-signed.
- The Claude and ChatGPT connector needs a paid Scribbl plan and a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan.
- Team's $20 per person rate needs 3 or more people; a team of 1 or 2 pays $50 per person a month, or $600 a year.
Key features
- Google Meet recording in the browser
- The Chrome extension records and transcribes from inside your own Meet tab. Nothing joins the participant list, and you do not need to be the host.
- Scribbl Desktop for Zoom and Teams
- A Mac and Windows app records Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls from your computer and starts on its own when a supported meeting window opens. It is included in every plan.
- Notes, action items and transcript
- Each call returns a summary, key topics, decisions, open questions and action items, with a transcript that has speaker labels and timestamps linked to the video.
- Custom note templates
- Build a template for a meeting you run often and its notes come back in that shape each time. Notes can be written in a different language from the meeting.
- One searchable library
- Meet, Zoom and Teams recordings land in the same library with one search across them, and calls are grouped by client automatically.
- Claude and ChatGPT connector
- On paid plans an MCP connector lets Claude or ChatGPT search across your meetings and read one. It is read-only and writes nothing back to Scribbl.
