Best for noisy calls that also need notes

Krisp cuts the dog, the traffic and the open office out of your calls, and takes the notes as well, with no bot joining. On the yearly plan that's $8 a month with transcription, recording and notes all unlimited. There's no free plan, though: you get a 7-day trial, and then it's pay or stop recording.

Who Krisp is for

  • Great if you take calls from a cafe, an open office or a noisy house
  • Handy when you want notes on Zoom, Teams, Meet or a Slack huddle without a bot joining
  • Good for teams who'd find accent conversion useful alongside the notes

Who Krisp is not for

  • Skip it if you want a free plan to stay on, as there's a 7-day trial and then it's paid
  • Pricey if you pay month by month, at $16 against $8 a month on the yearly plan
  • Tight if you lean on accent conversion, which Core caps at 1 hour a day

Why Krisp gets a 3.4

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • AValue for moneyCore is $8 a user a month on the yearly plan, the cheap end of this category, and it's unlimited: transcription, recording, AI notes and noise cancellation, plus Slack, Notion, Zapier and an API. Pay monthly and it's $16, so the yearly plan is the one to buy.
  • CFree plan and trialNo free plan. You get 7 days with every premium feature, and no credit card is needed. After that, Krisp's App Store listing says recording and file import are switched off.
  • AFeaturesNoise cancellation in both directions on every plan, and a note taker that records from the desktop app with no bot, or with one if you'd rather. Summaries, action items, a chat that answers from past meetings and live accent conversion. Live transcription covers 17 languages.
  • BEase of useIt works at the audio level with whatever calling app you use, so there's nothing to add to each meeting. There's no App Store rating on record to show how people get on with it, so a B.
  • APlatforms and integrationsMac, Windows, iPhone, Android and a browser extension. Core connects to Slack, Notion, Zapier, Microsoft Teams and HubSpot and includes an API. Salesforce and ConnectWise need Advanced, at $15 on the yearly plan.

What is Krisp?

Krisp combines noise cancellation with an AI note taker in a single app. It works at the audio level with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack huddles and other calling apps, removing background noise in both directions while transcribing the meeting without a bot in the call. It also offers real-time accent conversion. The pricing page lists a 7-day free trial followed by paid plans.

Krisp is a paid product with a free trial, starting at $8 per user / month, billed annually. See every plan

  • People who want meeting notes without a bot joining the call

  • Accent conversion is capped at 1 hour a day on Core.
  • Salesforce and ConnectWise integrations and 60 GB of storage need Advanced; Core includes 10 GB.
  • HIPAA compliance, BAA signing and on-device transcription are Enterprise only.

Key features

Two-way noise cancellation
Removes background noise, other voices and room echo from your microphone and from the audio you hear. It is included without a usage cap on every plan.

Accent conversion
Converts accents in real time on the speaker or listener side. Core allows 1 hour a day in each direction; Advanced allows 4 hours speaker-side and unlimited listener-side.
