Worth knowing
JotMe
- The Free plan allows 20 minutes of live translation and 50 minutes of transcription a month and keeps only the last 5 recordings accessible.
- Paid plans meter live translation too: 200 minutes a month on Pro and 500 on Premium. A one-time $50 purchase adds 500 minutes for one month.
- The Chrome extension is for Google Meet; other platforms are covered by the desktop and mobile apps.
- Subscriptions are non-refundable once purchased, and annual plans are charged as a single payment for the year.
Notta
- The Free plan transcribes only the first 3 minutes of each conversation, within 120 minutes a month.
- Pro is a single-seat plan capped at 1,800 minutes a month. Unlimited transcription, meeting video and CRM or Zapier integrations need Business.
- Real-time translation is limited to 2 to 4 free uses a month. More needs an add-on from $6 a month, billed annually, sold only with paid plans.
- Notta Desktop, the bot-free recorder for Mac and Windows, is labeled a beta.
Key features
JotMe
- Live translated captions
- Speech is translated into captions while people talk, with background AI agents refining meaning as the conversation develops. Fast mode currently offers 13 target languages; other modes offer 200+.
- No bot in the call
- The Mac and Windows apps capture audio on the computer, so nothing joins the meeting and other participants install nothing. It works with any meeting platform or in person.
- Shared live translation
- A host can share the running translation by URL or QR code, or show it as subtitles on camera, so teammates, clients or an audience follow in their own language.
- Speaker-labeled transcription
- Transcripts carry speaker labels and can cover several spoken languages at once. Audio and video files can be uploaded for the same transcript, translation and notes.
- AI meeting notes and summaries
- After a meeting the transcript, notes, summary, decisions and action items are saved to the dashboard, and notes can be generated in each reader's language.
- Ask JotMe
- Questions asked during or after a meeting are answered in the user's own language from what was said. Each use draws on the plan's monthly AI credits.
Notta
- Bot or bot-free meeting recording
- A bot can join Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex calls. Notta Desktop, a beta app for Mac and Windows, records from the device instead, so nothing joins the call.
- Live transcription in 58 languages
- Transcribes speech as it happens and labels speakers. Notta lists 58 languages for transcription and translation, with a bilingual mode for two languages at once.
- AI Notes
- Generates a summary and action items for each recording. The monthly quota is 10 summaries on Free, 100 on Pro and 200 on Business.
- Notta Brain
- Answers questions across past meetings and builds slides, documents and infographics from them. It runs on AI credits: every plan includes 1,000 a month, and a paid add-on provides 8,000 a month.
- File and link transcription
- Upload audio or video files, or paste a YouTube link, and get a transcript. Uploads are capped at 50 a month on Free, 100 on Pro and 200 on Business.
- Screen recording
- Records the screen with audio and camera, and a Chrome extension captures audio from a browser tab. Recording online meetings with video needs the Business plan.
