Worth knowing
JotMe
- The Free plan allows 20 minutes of live translation and 50 minutes of transcription a month and keeps only the last 5 recordings accessible.
- Paid plans meter live translation too: 200 minutes a month on Pro and 500 on Premium. A one-time $50 purchase adds 500 minutes for one month.
- The Chrome extension is for Google Meet; other platforms are covered by the desktop and mobile apps.
- Subscriptions are non-refundable once purchased, and annual plans are charged as a single payment for the year.
Transkriptor
- Every plan is metered: 300 minutes a month on Lite, 2,400 on Pro and 3,000 per seat on Team. Unused minutes do not roll over.
- The free account is a trial that includes 90 minutes of transcription.
- AI summaries, AI chat and the knowledge base start on Pro, and the pricing page lists the promise not to train on your data from Pro up.
- Lite is shown with monthly billing only. The annual discounts apply to Pro, Team and the bulk-hour bundles.
Key features
JotMe
- Live translated captions
- Speech is translated into captions while people talk, with background AI agents refining meaning as the conversation develops. Fast mode currently offers 13 target languages; other modes offer 200+.
- No bot in the call
- The Mac and Windows apps capture audio on the computer, so nothing joins the meeting and other participants install nothing. It works with any meeting platform or in person.
- Shared live translation
- A host can share the running translation by URL or QR code, or show it as subtitles on camera, so teammates, clients or an audience follow in their own language.
- Speaker-labeled transcription
- Transcripts carry speaker labels and can cover several spoken languages at once. Audio and video files can be uploaded for the same transcript, translation and notes.
- AI meeting notes and summaries
- After a meeting the transcript, notes, summary, decisions and action items are saved to the dashboard, and notes can be generated in each reader's language.
- Ask JotMe
- Questions asked during or after a meeting are answered in the user's own language from what was said. Each use draws on the plan's monthly AI credits.
Transkriptor
- File and link transcription
- Upload audio or video such as MP3, MP4 and WAV, or paste a YouTube, Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox link. Transcripts export as TXT, SRT or Word.
- Meeting bot or bot-free recorder
- A bot can join Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls. The desktop app for Windows and Mac detects a meeting and records from the device, so no bot appears in the call.
- AI summaries and templates
- From Pro, each recording gets a summary, key takeaways and action items. Summary templates cover sales, marketing and education, or you can create your own format.
- AI chat and Ask Transkriptor
- Ask questions about a single transcript, or search every meeting in the library and get answers that cite the moment they came from. AI chat starts on the Pro plan.
- Translation and speaker labels
- Transcribes and translates in more than 100 languages, identifies multiple speakers, and lets you edit both the text and the speaker tags.
- Call analysis
- The Team plan adds speaker talk time, sentiment detection and AI filters, plus analytics that track how the team uses its minutes.
