Value for money
BThe Teams page quotes $99.99 a year for one person, about $8.33 a month, which is ordinary for this category. Teams is $89.99 a seat with a 2-seat minimum. But individuals buy in the app, where the US App Store also lists weekly, monthly and $119.99 yearly prices, so your offer may differ.
CPro is $11.99 a month billed yearly, or $14.99 monthly, and adds premium AI models, phone call recording and audio uploads. But automatic speaker separation and MCP access sit on Max, at $29.99 a month billed yearly or $49.99 monthly. That's a lot to pay to know who said what.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan. The site advertises a free trial with no credit card required, which is fair, but it doesn't say how long the trial lasts.
AUnlimited transcription, unlimited summaries and AI chats, and daily and weekly digests, all free. Most people could stay here. Premium AI models, phone call recording and audio file upload are the paid bits.
Features
BSummaries with key points, tasks and next steps, a searchable archive, an assistant for questions, and transcripts in one language with summaries in another. Solid. But the FAQ describes recording through the device's microphone, and the site lists no way to send notes to a CRM or task app.
BAll-day capture with no fixed recording limit, an editable summary for each recording, daily and weekly digests, chat across everything, and more than 140 languages. But speaker separation is Max only and needs Save Audio switched on, and you can't bulk export your notes yet.
Ease of use
B4.4 from about 3,700 App Store ratings, a little under where our A starts. There's no bot to invite: press record and go, and a calendar reminder nudges you before each meeting.
A4.8 from about 870 App Store ratings. It keeps transcribing with the screen off, so once it's running there's nothing for you to do.
Platforms and integrations
BiPhone, Android, the web and a Mac app, so most devices are covered. But the only things it connects to are Google, iCloud and Microsoft calendars, for reminders. The site lists no links to video-meeting, CRM or task apps, and no API.
AiPhone, Android, Apple Watch, Mac, Windows, the web and a Chrome extension for browser calls. It connects to Google Calendar and Gmail, and on Max, ChatGPT and Claude can search your notes through MCP.

Who each one suits

Cue

  • In-person meetings, lectures and appointments recorded on a phone
  • Client calls where a visible meeting bot would be unwelcome
  • Small teams of 5 to 50 people sharing transcripts and action items

TwinMind

  • People who want one running record of meetings, calls and in-person conversations
  • Unlimited transcription and summaries without paying
  • Max subscribers who want their meeting history available inside ChatGPT or Claude

Worth knowing

Cue

  • The site has no pricing page for individuals: subscriptions are bought in the apps, and the US App Store lists several weekly, monthly and yearly amounts.
  • The Teams plan needs at least 2 seats and is billed annually only.
  • The terms of use grant 44pixels a licence to use recorded content to develop its products, including training its transcription and other AI models.
  • The FAQ describes recording through the device microphone, and the site lists no connections to video-meeting, CRM or task apps.

TwinMind

  • Phone call recording, audio file upload and premium AI models need Pro; speaker separation, MCP access and email auto-tagging need Max.
  • The help center says the iOS and Android apps record from the microphone only, and points to the Chrome extension for capturing a video meeting's audio.
  • Recording works offline, but transcripts and summaries are generated only once the device is back online.
  • Speaker separation works only on recordings made with Save Audio on, and bulk export of notes is not available yet.

Key features

Cue

On-device recording, no bot
Cue records from the device you are using, so nothing joins the call as a participant. The FAQ lists in-person meetings, Zoom and Teams calls, phone conversations, lectures and interviews.
Summaries and action items
When a recording ends, Cue writes a summary with key points, tasks and next steps alongside the transcript. Summaries can be edited or rewritten for a different audience.
Search and questions
Past transcripts, summaries and action items are searchable by keyword, and an assistant answers questions such as which deadlines were agreed in a given meeting.
Multilingual transcription
Transcription and summaries support multiple languages, and the two can differ: the App Store listing gives Spanish transcripts with English summaries as an example.
Calendar reminders
Connecting a Google, iCloud or Microsoft calendar sends a reminder before each event so that recording starts on time.
Export and sharing
Transcripts and summaries can be exported as PDFs, emails or links. The Teams plan shares transcripts and action items across the team.

TwinMind

All-day capture
The phone app keeps transcribing with the screen off and has no fixed recording limit. TwinMind says it is tuned for 16 or more hours of battery life, based on its internal testing.
Capture on your own devices
The Chrome extension records the audio of browser-based Zoom, Google Meet and Teams calls, while the iOS and Android apps record through the microphone. Mac, Windows and Apple Watch apps are also offered.
Summaries, digests and chat
Each recording gets an editable summary, and daily and weekly digests recap what was captured. You can ask questions of a single note or across everything stored.
140+ languages
The homepage says spoken languages are detected automatically across more than 140 languages and can be translated in real time. A settings option translates transcripts and summaries.
Audio deleted by default
Audio is processed and deleted after transcription unless you turn on Save Audio. A local mode, on iOS only, keeps notes on the device instead of backing them up to the cloud.
MCP access for AI tools
On the Max plan, ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients can search notes, summaries, transcripts and tasks with read-only access, signed in through OAuth.
