Value for money
ABasic is $15 a month billed annually, $18 monthly, for unlimited forms and 5,000 responses a month. That's well under the usual price for forms. But HeyForm takes 3% of payments on Basic, and removing its branding starts at Premium, $24.
BPro is $25 a month billed yearly ($299), or $29 monthly. Bang on typical for forms. It removes the branding and adds custom domains, password protection and an analytics dashboard. Roles and the HubSpot and Salesforce integrations need Business at $67.
Free plan and trial
BThere's a free cloud plan with no time limit, but the pricing page doesn't list what's in it, so we can't call it generous. Paid plans have a 7-day free trial. You can also self-host the open-source edition without charge.
AUnlimited forms and submissions, with logic, computed fields, API access, webhooks and basic integrations. Plenty of people could stay here for good. You get 1 workspace and 10 MB uploads, and OpnForm's branding has to stay on.
Features
AConversational forms with conditional logic, answer piping, different endings and an AI generator that drafts a form from a description. Paid plans take payments, file uploads and signatures. Uploads stop at 10 MB each on Basic and Premium.
BClassic or conversational layouts, multi-step forms, logic, validation, computed fields and pre-fills. Solid, with webhooks and an API from the free plan. But AI form generation and the analytics dashboard are paid, and partial submissions wait for Business.
Ease of use
BNo App Store rating on record, so a B is our ceiling, and that's for the hosted version. Describe the form and the AI drafts it. Self-hosting has one-click deployments and a Docker setup, which is a bigger job.
BNo App Store rating on record, so a B is our ceiling, and that's for the hosted version, where you drag and drop fields into a form. Self-hosting is there too, and that's a bigger job.
Platforms and integrations
BWeb only, though forms adapt to phone, tablet and desktop screens. Paid plans connect to Zapier, Google Sheets, Airtable, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce and Slack, and webhooks are supported.
BWeb only. Email, webhooks, Zapier, Google Sheets and API tokens are on the free plan. Slack, Discord and Telegram need Pro, and HubSpot and Salesforce need Business.
