Worth knowing

Acuity Scheduling

  • There is no free plan. When the 7-day trial ends, a paid plan is needed to keep using the account.
  • Plans are capped by calendars, which map to staff or locations: 1 on Starter, 6 on Standard and 36 on Premium.
  • Text reminders, the waitlist, memberships, packages and gift certificates need Standard or Premium.
  • Hiding the "Powered by Acuity Scheduling" footer, signing a HIPAA BAA, and custom API and CSS are Premium-only.

Appointlet

  • The Free plan is capped at 5 members, 25 bookings per month and 1 scheduling page.
  • Automated reminders, payment collection, round robin, group meetings, Zapier and webhooks all need Premium.
  • There is no mobile app: the FAQ lists Chrome and Firefox extensions and says a mobile app is in development.
  • Recurring meetings are not supported, and support is by chat and email with no phone line.

Appointlet

Scheduling pages and links
Share a link to a booking page by email, text or social media, or embed the page on a website inline or as a pop-up.
Team scheduling
Round robin, a Premium feature, distributes meetings across members with pooled availability. Co-hosted meetings show only times when every host is free.
Custom intake forms
Forms collect details at booking with text fields, single and multiple choice questions and checkboxes. They are included on every plan.
Reminders and manual approval
Premium sends automated email reminders before meetings and lets hosts approve or decline each meeting request before it is confirmed.
Payment collection
Premium accounts can charge for a meeting at booking through Stripe or PayPal. Appointlet says it takes no commission on those payments.
Calendar and conferencing sync
Connects Google and Office 365 calendars to prevent double bookings, and creates a unique Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Webex room for each meeting.
