Value for money
APremium is $1.99 to $2.49 a month, or $19.99 to $24.99 a year, as the US App Store lists two prices for each. Even the higher one is under what to-do apps typically start at. It buys sync, cloud backup, shared lists and the web app. Lifetime is $69.99.
APremium is $19.99 a year, well under the $3.99 a month a typical to-do app charges, or $29.99 once for lifetime access. Monthly is $2.99. A purchase on one device also applies on the others under the same Apple Account.
Free plan and trial
BFree with no ads: lists, sublists, tasks, subtasks, reminders, alarms and widgets. That's a good start. But tags stop at 3, and restoring a manual backup needs a donation or Premium, so the safety net isn't really free.
BFree with no ads, no tracking and no sign-up: lists, reminders, a calendar view, widgets and custom colours and icons. But there's no sync between devices, no notes on a reminder and no repeating reminders until you pay.
Features
BColor-coded lists split into sublists, subtasks, priorities, recurring reminders you can snooze from the notification, a calendar view and a widget. Premium adds lists shared by link. Solid basics. But the listing shows no integrations, so nothing flows in from email or a calendar.
BColour-coded lists, a calendar where you drag a reminder to a new date, widgets with a What's Next view, and Siri, Spotlight and Shortcuts. Solid basics. But a sent list is a one-off copy that isn't kept in sync, and its due dates and notes aren't sent along.
Ease of use
BSimple by design: make a list, drag things around, tick a task off from its notification. It's an app you install and use. There's no rating on record to go by, so it stops at a B.
A4.7 from about 3,200 App Store ratings. There's no sign-up, and changing a due date is a drag across the calendar.
Platforms and integrations
BAndroid, iPhone and iPad, plus a web app on Premium. But the iPhone app was announced in July 2026, needs iOS 26 or later and is still below version 1.0. There's no desktop app and no integrations.
CiPhone, iPad and Mac, with iCloud, Siri and Apple Shortcuts. That's one family of devices. The App Store lists no Android, Windows or web version, and Siri only handles tasks in English.

Key features

Tasks: To Do List & Reminders

Lists, sublists and subtasks
Lists are color-coded, reordered by drag and drop and can be divided into sublists. Tasks take subtasks, notes, priorities and flags.
Reminders and alarms
Tasks can have one-time or recurring notifications and alarms, and a task can be marked done or snoozed from the notification without opening the app.
Filtered lists, tags and calendar view
A filtered list gathers every task with a chosen tag, and a calendar view shows tasks by date. The free version allows 3 tags; Premium removes the limit.
Home screen widget
A widget mirrors the app on the home screen, so the day's tasks can be seen and a list opened with a tap.
Sync, backup and web app
Premium adds device-to-device sync, automatic cloud backup and a web app that runs in any browser. A manual backup to a local file is available in Settings.
Shared lists
A Premium user can create a shared list and invite others with a link. The list admin can lock the list against new members or remove a person.

To Do List - Reminders & Tasks

Color-coded lists
Reminders are grouped into lists with their own colors and icons, so work and personal items stay apart. All list icons are part of Premium.
Calendar view
Due dates are shown on a calendar, and a reminder's date is changed by dragging it. A more detailed calendar view is a Premium feature.
Widgets
Home screen widgets show what needs doing without opening the app, including a What's Next view added in version 7.3.
Send List with App Clips
A list can be sent to someone by QR code or link and opens in the app or, if it is not installed, in an App Clip. The copy is not kept in sync, and due dates and notes are not sent.
iCloud sync in Premium
With Premium, data syncs between iPhone, iPad and Mac through iCloud. A purchase made on one of them also applies on the others under the same Apple Account.
Siri, Spotlight and Shortcuts
Tasks can be added and managed through Siri in English, found through Spotlight, and used in Shortcuts.
