Value for money
BPremium is $9 a user a month billed yearly, or $11 monthly, dropping to $8 from 10 users. That's dear for one person's to-do list but about what team task apps charge, and it brings unlimited projects, time tracking and 20GB of storage each.
AFive dollars a month if you pay for the year, eight for teams. Hard to find anything this good on this many devices for that.
Free plan and trial
BFree with no time limit for up to 3 people. But you get 3 active projects, 3 tags, 500MB of storage and only 7 days of completed-task history. Fine for a taster, tight for real work.
BFree forever, and reminders are included now. But 5 projects is tight. Work, home, one side thing and you're done.
Features
AProjects, tasks and comments with files attached, plus Priority, Incoming and Activity views to show what needs you. There's a calendar, time tracking on Premium, and Nozbe AI, which builds a project from a prompt or a CSV file.
BTyping tasks in and repeating dates are brilliant. Filters are great if you like that sort of thing. No start dates though, and the calendar view is paid.
Ease of use
BWe have no App Store rating on record, so a B is as high as we go. The structure is simple enough: projects, tasks, comments. You can start on the free space and bring two teammates along.
A4.8 from around 129,000 App Store ratings. Open it, type a thing, done. Nobody needs a tutorial for this.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android. Integrations with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, Evernote and Zapier are open to every plan, and there's a REST API. No Linux download is listed.
AMac, Windows, Linux (yes, really), iPhone, Android, web, watch and browser. There's an API too if you like wiring things together.

Key features

Nozbe

Projects, tasks and comments
Work is split into projects that hold tasks, and discussion happens in the comments on each task, where files and documents can be attached.
Priority, Incoming and Activity views
Priority is a list you fill yourself. Incoming gathers today's and overdue tasks, reminders, assignments and mentions. Activity shows changes in the projects you follow.
Calendar and time tracking
Tasks take deadlines and reminders and can be scheduled in a Calendar view. Recording the time needed and time spent on a task requires Premium.
Nozbe AI
Describing a project in a prompt, or importing a CSV file, creates a project with sections, tasks and comments. Free spaces get 3 requests; Premium gets up to 1,000.
Multiple spaces
One account can own or join several spaces, for example for work and private life. Each Premium space is billed on its own; Business covers unlimited spaces.
Integrations and API
Integrations with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, OneDrive, Evernote and Zapier are open to every plan, and there is a REST API.

Todoist

Quick Add
Capture tasks in natural language as they come to you, including recurring due dates and reminders.
List, board and calendar layouts
Switch any project between a list, a kanban board and a calendar. The calendar layout needs a paid plan.
Filters, labels and priorities
Saved filter views pull tasks from across projects: 3 on the free plan, 150 on Pro and Business.
Shared projects
Share a project to assign tasks and comment on them. Personal projects allow up to 5 people on every plan.
Team workspace
Business adds public and private team projects, folders, roles and permissions, and shared templates.
Ramble and Task Assist
Ramble turns spoken thoughts into tasks; free accounts get limited sessions. Task Assist is included from Pro.
