An email forwarded to a Good Todo address becomes a todo. Addresses such as tomorrow@goodtodo.com file it on a later day, and an email can be sent straight into a category.

A list for each day

Todos sit on the list for a specific date. Redate moves one to another day, and Multi-Redate in the web app moves several at once.

7-day and 30-day views

The web app can show every todo in the next 7 or 30 days under dated headings, and todos can be dragged from one day to another on that page.

Categories and recurring todos

Todos can be grouped into categories with an optional color label, and a todo can recur daily, on weekdays or on chosen days of the week.

iPhone and iPad app

The iOS app syncs with the online account and can create, edit, reorder, redate and search todos, view attachments and email a todo to any address.

Export and files

Todos can be exported from the Preferences page, a recurring email export sends them on a chosen schedule, and a Files page holds attachments and uploads.

Toodledo

Task attributes and filters

Tasks can be tracked by priority, start and due date, length, status, folder, context, goal and tag, then searched, sorted and filtered. Saving a search needs Standard or higher.

Hotlist and Scheduler

The Hotlist gathers tasks that are due soon or have a high priority, star or status. The Scheduler, on Plus, suggests what to work on in the free time you have.

Notes, Lists and Outlines

Alongside tasks there are formatted notes in folders, multi-column lists with more than 20 column types, and nested outlines. Free accounts get 30 items per list and outline.

Habits and goals

The Habits section records daily progress and draws graphs and charts. Completed tasks can count toward a goal, which Toodledo tracks as goal chains.

Collaboration

Folders can be shared, tasks reassigned and another person's list managed, with permissions to read, edit or add items. Plus allows up to 5 collaborators.

Alarms and location reminders

Alarms arrive by email or in the mobile apps, and the apps can alert you near a place where you have tasks. Custom alarms start on Standard.
