How we grade them
| 3.2GPAHubSpotVery good | 2.0GPASalesRabbitFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | CStarter lists at $20 a seat, mid-pack for the CRMs here, and new customers get it from $7. Then it jumps: Sales Hub Professional is $90 a seat plus a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee, when Zoho CRM starts at $14 a user. Ordinary at the bottom, dear at the top. | DGraded against its own alternatives, as it's a field sales tool. Pro is $49 a user a month billed yearly ($75 monthly), about twice Salesforce's $25 and over three times Pipedrive's $14. Every paid account also needs a setup package with no published price, on a 1 to 3 year contract. |
| Free plan and trial | BFree with no end date for 2 users and 1,000 contacts, with deal pipelines, email tracking, live chat, a meeting link and dashboards. One person really could live on that. But 1,000 contacts is a wall you'll hit, and HubSpot's logo sits on your chat and marketing emails. | CLite is free for good for one person on a phone, with the lead map, appointments and routes. But there's no web app, no team, and leads left untouched for 90 days are deleted. No trial of the paid plans. |
| Features | AThe CRM job in full, then marketing, service and content tools all reading from the same customer record, which no other CRM here matches. Email tracking, calling, workflows, dashboards, an AI assistant and more than 2,000 integrations. The depth is spread across tiers, mind. | CIt does the canvassing job fully: lead maps, territories, rep tracking, routes, setter-to-closer booking and gamification. That's a smaller job than a CRM's, though, and buyer scores, mover leads and digital contracts are paid add-ons. |
| Ease of use | A4.7 from about 15,700 App Store ratings, which is the best score any CRM here has from that many people. It runs in a browser with nothing to install, and adding a contact fills in the company details for you. | CNo App Store rating on record. Every paid account comes with a required implementation package, which tells you there's real setting up before the team is knocking. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb, iPhone and Android, with a Chrome extension for Gmail and an add-in for Outlook, but no desktop app. More than 2,000 integrations and an API, which is the longest list in this category by a mile. | BWeb, iPhone and Android, with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, JobNimbus, AccuLynx, CompanyCam, Zapier and an API on Pro. There's no desktop app, which keeps it off an A. |

Worth knowing
HubSpot
- The free tools stop at 2 users and 1,000 contacts, and free live chat and marketing emails carry HubSpot branding.
- Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise each require a one-time onboarding fee ($1,500 and $3,500) on top of the seat price.
- Paid tiers are split across a Starter bundle, Smart CRM and separate hubs, so the total depends on which products and how many seats you buy.
- The $7 Starter price is a limited-time offer for new customers against a $20 list price, and HubSpot's CRM product page shows a different new-customer price, from $15 per seat.
SalesRabbit
- Every paid account needs an implementation package (Basic, Guided, Premium or Custom) whose price is not published, and contracts run one to three years.
- Add-ons cost extra per user a month: DataGrid AI and Weather $19 billed annually ($31 monthly), Mover Leads and Digital Contracts $13 ($20 monthly).
- There is no free trial of paid plans, and charges are not refunded for a cancellation in the middle of a billing cycle.
- RoofLink, SalesRabbit's roofing CRM, is a separate product at $120 per user a month; the free Lite app works only on phones, without the web app.
