Value for money
BProfessional is $9 a Team Member a month in the US, or $90 a year, which is about typical for this category. Only Team Members are charged, and view-only Visitors are free. Kerika says customers in nearly every other country pay less, in local currency.
AStandard is $5 a user a month billed annually, or $6 monthly, which is the cheap end of this category. It brings unlimited boards, AI features, the full Planner and custom fields. Premium doubles it to $10 for the extra views.
Free plan and trial
BThe Individual plan is free for one person working alone, with unlimited Task Boards, Whiteboards and view-only Visitors. But it has no Team Members, so anyone who edits with you needs a paid seat. Teams get a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
AFree for up to 10 collaborators per Workspace, with up to 10 boards, unlimited cards and unlimited Power-Ups. A small team could stay here for good. The limits you'll feel are 10MB per file and 250 automation command runs a month.
Features
BTask Boards with a workflow you set, subtasks assigned and scheduled separately, and work-in-progress limits. Whiteboards nest inside each other for big plans. Chat lives on the cards, and a dashboard gathers what's due. That's the scope, though: boards, whiteboards and chat.
ABoards, lists and cards, an Inbox that catches to-dos from email and Slack, a Planner that brings your calendar in, built-in automation and Power-Ups. Premium adds Calendar, Timeline, Table, Dashboard and Map views, some of them spanning boards.
Ease of use
BThere's no App Store rating on record for it, so a B is as high as we go. You sign up with a Google, Microsoft or Box ID you already have, and boards can start from a library of process templates.
B4.3 from about 7,000 App Store ratings, which is a B on our ladder. The idea itself is as simple as they come: a card moves from one list to the next.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, iPhone, Android and a browser extension. No desktop app is listed. Files live in Google Drive, OneDrive or Box, and due dates sync to Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or Apple Calendar.
AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android. Power-Ups link boards to Slack, Jira, Miro, Microsoft Teams and Gmail, there's a public API, and an MCP server connects Trello to AI tools.

Key features

Kerika

Task Boards
Kanban-style boards with a customizable workflow. Each task can hold a checklist of subtasks that are assigned and scheduled separately, and columns can carry work-in-progress limits.
Whiteboards
Free-form canvases for sketching ideas and plans. A whiteboard can contain other whiteboards, so large plans can be nested.
Files in your own cloud storage
Signing up with a Google, Microsoft or Box ID keeps project files in your own Google Drive, OneDrive or Box account, and Kerika tracks file versions.
Chat on cards and boards
Conversations are attached to individual cards and boards, so discussion stays with the work it refers to instead of in email.
Dashboard and highlights
A dashboard gathers what is assigned, due and needing attention across every board, and highlights mark what has changed on each card.
Calendar sync and templates
Due dates can sync to Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or Apple Calendar, and boards can start from a library of process templates or from custom ones.

Trello

Boards, lists and cards
Work is laid out as cards in lists on a board. Cards are unlimited on every plan; the Free plan allows up to 10 boards per Workspace.
Inbox
Captures to-dos from email, Slack and other sources into a personal Inbox. It is included on the Free plan.
Planner
Brings a synced calendar into Trello so blocks of focus time can be set aside for work. Full Planner access starts on the Standard plan.
Automation
Built-in automation is metered by Workspace command runs: 250 a month on Free, 1,000 on Standard and unlimited on Premium.
Premium views
Premium adds Calendar, Timeline, Table, Dashboard and Map views, including Workspace-level views that span boards.
Power-Ups and integrations
Power-Ups link boards to other tools, with unlimited Power-Ups per board on every plan. An MCP server connects Trello to AI tools.
