Taiga

Open-source agile project management with Scrum and Kanban

Free plan · from €5/moProject ManagementChecked Oct 5, 2026

What is Taiga?

Taiga is an open-source project management tool for agile teams. A project can run as a Kanban board or as Scrum with a backlog, sprints and burndown charts, and can switch between the two; issue tracking, a wiki and dashboards are built in. It is offered as a hosted service with flat monthly plans that do not charge per user, or as software to install on your own servers.

Taiga has a free plan. Paid plans start at €5 per month for unlimited users (€50 billed annually). See every plan

Good for

  • Agile teams running Scrum or Kanban, or moving between the two
  • Growing teams on a fixed budget, since hosted plans are flat-rate with unlimited users
  • Organizations that want to self-host an open-source tool

Worth knowing

  • Hosted plans are limited by projects and storage rather than users: Free allows 1 public and 1 private project with 10 MB of storage.
  • The largest self-serve hosted plan, Premium, stops at 3 GB of storage. A dedicated instance or on-premise support is quoted by sales.
  • Prices are listed in euros only.
  • The vendor's site mentions no desktop or mobile apps; Taiga is used in a web browser.

Key features

Kanban boards
Boards support multiple workflows with swimlanes, WIP limits, epics and sub-tasks, plus filters, search and an archive for finished user stories.
Scrum backlog and sprints

Dashboards, wiki and reports

Self-hosting
The open-source software can be installed with Docker, the recommended route, or from source code. Projects can be exported and imported between instances.
