Value for money
CStarter is $10.99 a user a month billed annually, or $13.49 monthly, which is above the dear end of this category. Seats come in fixed steps too, in blocks of 5 once you pass 5 users. Goals, portfolios and time tracking need Advanced at $24.99.
CLite is €10 a user a month, or 14% less paid annually, and it stops at 9 users. That's the dear end of this category for the basics. The timeline, dependencies, custom fields and API need Business: €10.90 a user at 10 users paid annually, but €49 for just 1.
Free plan and trial
BThe Personal plan is free with unlimited tasks and projects, list, board and calendar views and 100+ integrations. Lovely for one person. But it stops at 2 users, so most teams can't stay on it.
BFree covers 3 active projects, you plus 3 invited users, and 500 MB of shared storage. You still get row, kanban and calendar views, time tracking and reports. Fine for a freelancer, tight for a team.
Features
AList, board, calendar, timeline and Gantt views, rules that automate routine steps, forms that turn requests into tasks, dashboards, and goals and portfolios on Advanced. AI Studio builds workflows from a monthly credit pool. The whole job, with depth.
ATasks with assignees, deadlines and their own comment thread, shown as rows, kanban, a calendar or a timeline. Time tracking feeds hour and cost reports with CSV export. Add forms that create tasks, mind maps, guest accounts and an MCP server for AI assistants.
Ease of use
A4.7 from about 15,700 App Store ratings. The same project can be a list, a board or a calendar, so each person gets the view that makes sense to them.
BThere's no App Store rating on record for it, so a B is as high as we go. The structure is simple: projects, to-do lists, tasks. A 14-day trial of every feature, with no credit card, lets you look around first.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, though there's no Linux app. It connects to Slack, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Jira Cloud, GitHub, Zoom and Figma, and there's a public API.
AWeb, iPhone, Android and a browser extension. There's no native desktop app, so the help centre has you install the web app as a PWA. It connects to Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Google Calendar, Make and n8n, and the API comes with Business.

Freelo

Tasks can be shown as rows, kanban columns or a calendar on every plan. The Timeline (Gantt) view and task dependencies need Business or Premium.

Guest accounts
Business includes up to 100 free guest accounts and Premium up to 200, for clients and freelancers who do not need a full license.
AI connections
An MCP server and a Claude skill let AI assistants read and update tasks, and the built-in ToDoo assistant answers questions from Freelo's documentation.
