How we grade them

Value for money
CBasic is $9 a seat but has no automations, integrations or timeline, so most teams land on Standard at $12. ClickUp gives you Gantt charts and time tracking for $7.
AThe main paid plan is pay what you want, from $3 per user a month, billed monthly. Pay $3 or $67 and you get the same thing: unlimited cards, boards, spaces and pages. That's well under the going rate. The cliff comes at 50 members, where Business starts at $6,000 a year.
Free plan and trial
CTwo seats, three boards, three docs, and no automations. Fine for one freelancer with a few clients, no good for a team. There is a 14-day trial of Pro.
BFree with unlimited members and pages, and AI agents, forms and time tracking included. But it stops at 200 cards, 4 boards and 2 spaces, with 5MB uploads and 7-day page history. A busy team will fill 200 cards quickly.
Features
ABoards, timelines, Gantt charts, dashboards, docs, forms, automations, time tracking and a pile of AI helpers. There's very little you can't bend it into.
ACards on boards you can see as kanban, list, timeline or calendar, with swimlanes, child cards and blocking relationships. Then projects, sprints, a wiki of pages with real-time editing, request forms, and time tracking with timesheets and billable rates. AI agents work across all of it.
Ease of use
A4.8 from about 48,000 App Store ratings. A diesel repair shop and a couple doing up a 1976 house both say it just made sense. There are 200+ templates to start from.
BNo app rating on record, so a B is the ceiling. It's hosted, the free plan lets the whole team in, and there are built-in importers for Jira, Trello and Shortcut, so you're not starting from an empty board.
Platforms and integrations
BWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, with an API and 850+ integrations and apps. No Linux app, and reviewers say the phone app can't do all the website can.
AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, though no Linux app is listed. It connects to GitHub, Slack, Zapier, Google Calendar and Office 365.

Superthread

Cards and boards
Cards hold tasks, issues or tickets, and boards show them as kanban, list, timeline or calendar layouts, with swimlanes, child cards and blocking relationships.
Projects and sprints
Cards roll up into larger projects tracked on a dedicated projects board, and sprints give a team time-boxed cycles for a set of work.
Pages and wiki
Collaborative documents with sub-pages, inline comments, templates and real-time editing. Pages can be shared by link with people outside the workspace.
AI agents
Agents work across tasks, pages, projects and meetings with configurable triggers and access, and are included on every plan, with usage limits that vary by plan.
Forms and time tracking
