Value for money
B$9 a user a month billed yearly, or $10 monthly, which is about typical here. The nice part is that it's the only team plan, so time tracking, reports, timelines and unlimited storage are all in, and client users are free.
AStandard is $5 a user a month billed annually, or $6 monthly, which is the cheap end of this category. It brings unlimited boards, AI features, the full Planner and custom fields. Premium doubles it to $10 for the extra views.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan. The 14-day free trial has every feature and needs no credit card, and Breeze says it will extend the trial if you ask. After that you need a subscription.
AFree for up to 10 collaborators per Workspace, with up to 10 boards, unlimited cards and unlimited Power-Ups. A small team could stay here for good. The limits you'll feel are 10MB per file and 250 automation command runs a month.
Features
ABoards with swimlanes and work-in-progress limits, calendars, a timeline with dependencies, roadmaps, timers and project budgets, workload and reports, project chat and request forms. Breeze AI answers questions about your projects. Nothing is held back for a dearer tier.
ABoards, lists and cards, an Inbox that catches to-dos from email and Slack, a Planner that brings your calendar in, built-in automation and Power-Ups. Premium adds Calendar, Timeline, Table, Dashboard and Map views, some of them spanning boards.
Ease of use
BNo App Store rating on record, so B is as high as we go. One plan means nothing to compare before you start, and the company says it builds for teams that aren't made up of project managers.
B4.3 from about 7,000 App Store ratings, which is a B on our ladder. The idea itself is as simple as they come: a card moves from one list to the next.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, iPhone, Android and a browser extension. It connects to Slack, Zapier, Google Drive, Dropbox, Harvest, Toggl, Zendesk Support and QuickBooks, and an MCP server lets Claude and ChatGPT search, comment and log time.
AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android. Power-Ups link boards to Slack, Jira, Miro, Microsoft Teams and Gmail, there's a public API, and an MCP server connects Trello to AI tools.

Key features

Breeze

Project boards and lists
Projects are boards of task lists with drag and drop, swimlanes and work-in-progress limits, and any board can also be viewed as a plain task list.
Calendars, timelines and roadmaps
Tasks with dates appear in project calendars, a timeline shows deadlines and dependencies, and roadmaps lay out all projects for sharing with a team or clients.
Time tracking and budgets
Start a timer on a task or enter time by hand, set budgets and hourly rates per project, and see when a project runs over budget.
Reports and workload
Reports cover project status, completed and overdue work and time spent, and a workload view shows how work is spread across the team.
Chat, comments and request forms
Real-time project chat and task comments keep discussion next to the work, and web forms turn briefs, bugs and requests into tasks.
Breeze AI and MCP server
Breeze AI answers questions about projects, tasks and time logs. An MCP server lets assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT search, comment and log time.

Trello

Boards, lists and cards
Work is laid out as cards in lists on a board. Cards are unlimited on every plan; the Free plan allows up to 10 boards per Workspace.
Inbox
Captures to-dos from email, Slack and other sources into a personal Inbox. It is included on the Free plan.
Planner
Brings a synced calendar into Trello so blocks of focus time can be set aside for work. Full Planner access starts on the Standard plan.
Automation
Built-in automation is metered by Workspace command runs: 250 a month on Free, 1,000 on Standard and unlimited on Premium.
Premium views
Premium adds Calendar, Timeline, Table, Dashboard and Map views, including Workspace-level views that span boards.
Power-Ups and integrations
Power-Ups link boards to other tools, with unlimited Power-Ups per board on every plan. An MCP server connects Trello to AI tools.
