Value for money
B$9 a user a month billed yearly, or $10 monthly, which is about typical here. The nice part is that it's the only team plan, so time tracking, reports, timelines and unlimited storage are all in, and client users are free.
CBasic is $9 a seat but has no automations, integrations or timeline, so most teams land on Standard at $12. ClickUp gives you Gantt charts and time tracking for $7.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan. The 14-day free trial has every feature and needs no credit card, and Breeze says it will extend the trial if you ask. After that you need a subscription.
CTwo seats, three boards, three docs, and no automations. Fine for one freelancer with a few clients, no good for a team. There is a 14-day trial of Pro.
Features
ABoards with swimlanes and work-in-progress limits, calendars, a timeline with dependencies, roadmaps, timers and project budgets, workload and reports, project chat and request forms. Breeze AI answers questions about your projects. Nothing is held back for a dearer tier.
ABoards, timelines, Gantt charts, dashboards, docs, forms, automations, time tracking and a pile of AI helpers. There's very little you can't bend it into.
Ease of use
BNo App Store rating on record, so B is as high as we go. One plan means nothing to compare before you start, and the company says it builds for teams that aren't made up of project managers.
A4.8 from about 48,000 App Store ratings. A diesel repair shop and a couple doing up a 1976 house both say it just made sense. There are 200+ templates to start from.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, iPhone, Android and a browser extension. It connects to Slack, Zapier, Google Drive, Dropbox, Harvest, Toggl, Zendesk Support and QuickBooks, and an MCP server lets Claude and ChatGPT search, comment and log time.
BWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, with an API and 850+ integrations and apps. No Linux app, and reviewers say the phone app can't do all the website can.

Who each one suits

Breeze

  • Teams that want one per-user price with every feature included
  • Agencies that bring clients into projects, since client users are free
  • Non-technical teams that want boards, calendars and time tracking together

monday.com

  • Teams that want boards, dashboards and automations in one tool

  • Eligible nonprofits, which get their first 10 seats free

Worth knowing

Breeze

  • There is no free plan; a subscription is needed once the 14-day trial ends.
  • A single user pays $14 a month on the Solo plan, more than the $9 to $10 per-user rate for teams.
  • The vendor offers no on-site version, and teams of more than 60 users are asked to email for pricing.
  • Paying by invoice or bank transfer is available only with annual billing.

monday.com

  • The Free plan is limited to 2 seats, 3 boards and 3 docs.
  • Paid plans start at 3 seats, and the price is set by the team size selected rather than by individual seats.
  • Timeline, Gantt and calendar views, automations and integrations start on Standard; time tracking and private boards need Pro.
  • Plan totals itemize the bundled AI credits at $10 per 1,000 a month, currently cancelled out by a "special offer" discount of the same amount.

Key features

Breeze

Project boards and lists
Projects are boards of task lists with drag and drop, swimlanes and work-in-progress limits, and any board can also be viewed as a plain task list.
Calendars, timelines and roadmaps
Tasks with dates appear in project calendars, a timeline shows deadlines and dependencies, and roadmaps lay out all projects for sharing with a team or clients.
Time tracking and budgets
Start a timer on a task or enter time by hand, set budgets and hourly rates per project, and see when a project runs over budget.
Reports and workload
Reports cover project status, completed and overdue work and time spent, and a workload view shows how work is spread across the team.
Chat, comments and request forms
Real-time project chat and task comments keep discussion next to the work, and web forms turn briefs, bugs and requests into tasks.
Breeze AI and MCP server
Breeze AI answers questions about projects, tasks and time logs. An MCP server lets assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT search, comment and log time.

monday.com

Boards and views
Work is tracked on boards made of items and typed columns. Timeline, Gantt and calendar views start on the Standard plan.
Automations and integrations
Both are metered by monthly actions: 250 each on Standard and 25,000 each on Pro. The integrations page lists 850+ integrations and apps.
Dashboards
Dashboards bring data from boards together into charts and summaries for reporting on progress.
Docs and forms
Built-in documents and forms sit next to boards. The Free plan allows up to 3 docs, and private boards and docs need Pro.
AI credits and agents
The Sidekick assistant, AI agents and a notetaker draw on a monthly credit pool: 1,000 credits on Basic, 2,000 on Standard and 3,000 on Pro.
Portfolio and resource management
The Enterprise plan adds portfolio management, resource management and multi-level permissions.
