Who each one suits

Airtable

  • Teams that want to shape a database into their own project tracker
  • Operations and marketing teams building internal apps without code
  • Nonprofits and educators, who can get 50% off the Team plan

Infinity

  • Teams that want to design their own structure of boards, folders and tabs
  • Larger teams that prefer one flat price to per-user billing
  • Agencies that want to offer clients a white-labeled workspace

Worth knowing

Airtable

  • The Free plan is capped at 1,000 records per base and 5 editors.
  • Record limits apply per base on paid plans too: 50,000 on Team and 125,000 on Business.
  • Timeline and Gantt views and extensions are not part of the Free plan.
  • Two-way sync and the admin panel need the Business plan at $45 per seat / month.

Infinity

  • No free plan or free trial is listed; purchases come with a 14-day money-back guarantee instead.
  • Basic and Pro stop at 15 members, so larger teams have to move to the flat-rate Unlimited plan.
  • Gantt, chart and form views, formula fields and recurring items are not in Basic.
  • Basic, Pro and Unlimited include a single workspace; the help center says more workspaces mean buying an additional plan.

Key features

Airtable

Relational bases
Data lives in bases of linked tables. Record limits per base rise from 1,000 on Free to 50,000 on Team and 125,000 on Business.
Eight view types
A table can be shown as a grid, form, calendar, gallery, kanban, timeline, list or Gantt view. Timeline and Gantt views need the Team plan.
Interfaces
Custom interfaces can be built from base data, giving each team a tailored app on top of the same records.
Automations and sync
Automations handle repetitive steps inside a base. Two-way sync with outside tools is included from the Business plan.
Omni and field agents
Omni builds apps from a plain-language description and field agents run AI across records. Both draw on monthly AI credits: 500 per editor on Free and 15,000 per seat on Team.
Portals
Portals let guest users from outside the organization collaborate on selected data.

Infinity

Eight views of the same data
Items can be shown as a table, columns, list, calendar, document, Gantt chart, chart or form. Gantt, chart and form views are part of Pro and the flat-rate plans.
Six-level structure
Work is organized into workspaces, boards, folders and subfolders, tabs, items and sub-items, with unlimited boards, folders, tabs and items on every plan.
Custom attributes
Items carry attributes such as labels, dates, members, checklists, references, progress bars, votes and time tracking. Formula, rating and custom ID attributes need Pro.
Automations
Rules cover reminders, sending email, form submissions, webhooks and IFTTT-style actions. Basic allows 25 automations per board and Pro 100; recurring items need Pro.
Infinity AI
The built-in AI generates tasks, project structures and ideas from a prompt, so a rough idea can be turned into an organized board.
Flat-rate and white-label plans
Unlimited covers any number of members for a fixed monthly price. Agency adds five workspaces, white labeling with a custom domain and a license to resell.
