Value for money
CStandard is $12 a user a month billed annually, or $15 monthly, against an $8 middle and a $10 dear quarter for project tools here, and observers and guests cost nothing, which softens it. Custom apps, JavaScript automations and two-way Jira sync wait on Pro at $20, and Enterprise is $40 with a 25-user minimum.
CTeam is $15 a seat a month billed yearly, $20 monthly, above this category's dear quarter but short of its dearest tenth. It bills at least 3 seats, so you pay for three even on your own. Viewers, commenters and people filling in forms are free, which softens it.
Free plan and trial
BFree takes 10 users and 10 guests with 10 databases, unlimited entities, docs, formulas and automations, so a small team can really live on it. The caps are there: 1 GB of files, 14 days of history, 250 automation runs a month, 1 synced integration and no AI credits.
CNo free plan, but a 14-day trial of Professional with no card and no automatic charge. If it ends without a plan, the account is switched off, though your data is kept.
Features
BThe whole job, shaped how you like: linked databases shown as a table, board, calendar, timeline, Gantt chart, map or form, with docs, whiteboards, no-code automations and continuous sync from Jira, Zendesk and GitHub. Gantt views and whiteboards stay private below Standard, and automations and AI are metered.
BThe whole job and more: 40+ field types in linked tables, grid, kanban, calendar, timeline, Gantt and map views, dashboards, multi-step automations, branded forms and an AI copilot that builds tables from a prompt. Team does cap a Solution at 5,000 records.
Ease of use
CNo App Store rating on record, and this is the sort of tool where you build the thing before you use it: databases, relations, views. Templates for product teams, software teams, agencies and startups give you a head start on the building.
CNo rating on record, and this is a kit you build before you use: tables, links, views and automations. The 200+ templates and the copilot get you a first draft quickly.
Platforms and integrations
AWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, plus a browser extension, with no Linux app listed. It syncs with Jira, GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Zendesk, Intercom and HubSpot, connects through Zapier, and has a remote MCP server on every plan.
BWeb, iPhone and Android, with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, Zapier and Make, and a REST API. No desktop app, which is what keeps it off an A.

Key features

Fibery

Connected databases
A workspace is built from databases that can be related to one another, including across Spaces, with formulas and lookup fields. The Free plan allows 10 databases with unlimited entities.
Many views of the same data
Data can be shown as a table, board, list, calendar, timeline, Gantt chart, gallery, map, feed or form. Gantt views are marked private only on the Free and Standard plans.
Documents and whiteboards
Collaborative documents are part of every plan. Whiteboards are private only on Free and can be shared from the Standard plan.
Automations
Buttons and rules run actions without code, including external ones such as sending a Slack message. Runs are metered monthly below Enterprise, and JavaScript actions need Pro.
Fibery AI
Paid plans include monthly AI credits per seat for answering questions, working with data and configuring the workspace, plus audio and video transcription. A remote MCP server is on every plan.
Synced integrations
Data from tools such as Jira, Zendesk and GitHub syncs continuously into Fibery databases. Free allows 1 integration, and two-way sync with Jira is on Pro and Enterprise.

SmartSuite

Solutions and linked tables
Model work as tables of records with more than 40 field types and links between tables, grouped into Solutions that can start from 200+ templates.
Grid, kanban, Gantt and other views
Show the same records as a grid, kanban board, calendar, timeline, Gantt chart or map, and build dashboards from widgets.
Automations
Triggers, conditions and multi-step actions run routine work; plans allow 25,000, 100,000 or 500,000 automation runs and API calls a month.
AI copilot and agents
The Workflow Builder Copilot creates tables, fields and views from a written prompt, and AI agents can make choices and generate content inside workflows.
Forms and collaboration
Branded forms collect records from people who are not billed, and comments with @mentions, record following and notifications keep discussion on the record.
Permissions and history
Account, Solution and record permissions on every plan, field and view permissions from Professional, and change history kept 1, 2 or 3 years by plan.
